this is the song me and my mum listen to every summer on our boat in Greece. Reminds me of blue sea, sun, cold beer, beautiful views, whole family together...
no borders bound for birds
Hessel van der Kooy
Hessel is the guy who owns
my local on Terschelling -the island where my family is from- and has been
singing there for 30 years. This is my favourite of his songs and he's been
singing it every night for as long as I can remember... Us locals tend to
stay at home until he's stopped singing though...
Pida me la, and Soy
Gipsy Kings
Grew up with the gipsy kings and these are my favourites. Have been playing
this music on many occasions, so I have many memories: again Greece on our
boat, or when climbing with my family in Austria..sitting in front of a hut,
watching the sun go down and listening to this
El condor pasa
Simon and Garfunkel
used to be on my mum and dad's 'party
tape' of when they were students and I loved it from the first second I
heard it (probably about 5 years old). Also listened to them on the roof of
my east slope flat when I lived there over the summer of my second year.

Green day
(really the whole Dookie album!) reminds me of
when I used to work on a dry slope in Holland and we were building snowboard
jumps (wood with plastic mats on top of them). A very hot summer. Jumped of
the jump and crashed very very hard to this song...
in these arms
Bon Jovi
secondary school crush (probably about 15 years
old..we all loved him)
aserej (ketchup song)
Las Ketchup
reminds me of my erasmus year in
France. Was played all the time, -far too many times- wherever we went.. It
drove Dave and me nuts.
Paradise by the dashboard life
Meatloaf
15 years old. Me and my cousin
loved this song and danced to it lots...
but I feel good
Groove Armada
song we played while driving into Newquay on
surfing trip. remember seeing all those ridiculously small roads with hedges
around them while bouncing away to this song...
